Omo Oduduwa Renaissance
Omo Oduduwa Renaissance is an autonomous, self-determining group for the people of Oduduwa, a nation built on strong democratic values and institutions, with supremacy of the rule of law, social and economic justice for all. A nation where every citizen is valued and can live a productive life to realize their full potentials, irrespective of creed, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Their mission is to speak with one determined voice to demand our rights to own our destiny, through civil means and peaceful negotiations with local and international governments and institutions.

National Association of Oduduwa Student (NAOS)
National Association of Oduduwa Student (NAOS) is a non-profit organization founded on integrity. The Organization is made up of an exceptional body of young patriotic intellectuals whose concern for Yoruba students both home and abroad is foremost; an active group that studies Yoruba student’s situation, realizing the imperative need to take up responsibility as potential future Yoruba leaders. The driving zeal is fueled by a strong patriotic spirit and a sincere desire to impact the Yoruba nation with the vigor of our cultural youthful life.
Oodua People's Congress
The Oodua People's Congress (also known as OPC) is one of the major and foremost self determination groups of the Yoruba people. As obvious, it derives its name from that of Oduduwa, the ancestor of the Yoruba race. This powerful and amazingly widespread group was formed in August 1994 with the primary aim of defending, protecting and promoting Yoruba interests.6 Some other ethnic groups, such as the Igbo and the Ijaw, had also formed their own organizations. However, under successive military governments in the 1990s, freedom of expression and association were even more severely restricted, and members of groups calling for autonomy or agitating for greater power for particular ethnic groups were arrested and harassed by the authorities, in some cases on the basis of allegations that they had carried out acts of violence. Those arrested included Frederick Fasehun, leader of the OPC, who was detained in 1996 for a year and a half.
